About

The Honest Approach Physical Therapy was created by Stephanie Honest to provide outpatient Physical Therapy services directly to the client. The company's mission is to enhance the lifestyle of each individual as they embark on their road to recovery.

Stephanie Honest is a native Southern Nevadan. Raised in Las Vegas, she attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated with her Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Her interest in the body and movement developed at an early age. Stephanie fell in love with the art of dance as a child, developing skills in many genres, including tap, jazz, and ballet, among others. While she was completing her undergraduate degree, Stephanie was introduced to ballroom dancing, and it was through ballroom that she developed a deeper understanding of how the body moves. She learned the complex interplay between strength, balance, and control that allowed her to execute refined movements that don’t cause pain and wear the body over time. She brings these insights into her treatment plans, incorporating her experience as an athlete and dancer to guide fine movements that can make a world of a difference in terms of quality of movement and patients’ pain.

Stephanie has worked with multiple patient populations ranging from general orthopedic (joint sprains, muscle strains, post-op back, neck, shoulder/knee/hip) to those with vestibular disorders and neurological conditions including: stroke, Parkinson’s disease, MS, and ALS. She also received her Functional Dry Needling certification.

Stephanie has worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient orthopedic, vestibular/balance, home health, and workman's comp. Stephanie has treated ages from young adolescents to geriatrics.

Stephanie is passionate about sharing her skills and knowledge gained to help others on their journey through physical rehabilitation.
